Our History

Our mission is to provide for the cultural enrichment of the city of Vero Beach and surrounding area by providing a medium for performing musicians and by sponsoring orchestral performances and music education.  We are an inter-generational group comprised of professional, semi-professional adult and student musicians from Indian River County and neighboring communities.

Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra

The idea of a community orchestra for Vero Beach was conceived in 2007.  Since then, each year the Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra has presented two free concerts (donations encouraged) to the community at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

Donations support the VBCO, which in turn provides support to local music students through sheet music donations, scholarships, and orchestral experience.   The first concert of Season Nine ALL proceeds/donations ($7,900) were given to the Vero Beach High School Philharmonic Orchestra to support their Ambassadorial Concert tour in Austria during May and June of 2017.
